Aeropress Buying Guide
We stock theAeropress Original (€39.95)- the classic that started it all. This is the authentic Aeropress experience loved by baristas and home brewers worldwide. It makes 1-3 cups of smooth, rich coffee and includes 350 micro-filters, stirrer, scoop, and funnel. Perfect for home brewing, offices, and anyone who wants consistently excellent coffee with minimal cleanup.
The Aeropress uses a unique combination of immersion and gentle air pressure. Ground coffee steeps in hot water for 30-60 seconds, then you press down on the plunger, forcing the brewed coffee through a micro-filter. The result? Sweet, full-flavored coffee without bitterness or sediment. Think French press smoothness meets espresso richness - all in under 2 minutes.
The Aeropress uses micro-filters (paper filters) that are incredibly affordable - 350 filters cost just €8.00 and last months. We stock genuine Aeropress micro-filters at Coffeeangel. You can also use reusable metal filters if you prefer a fuller-bodied brew with more coffee oils.
Not true espresso (which requires 9 bars of pressure), but the Aeropress makes an excellent espresso-style concentrate that's perfect for Americanos, lattes, and cappuccinos. Use a fine grind, less water, and press slowly - you'll get a rich, concentrated brew that's surprisingly close to espresso.
With proper care, an Aeropress can last 10+ years. The only part that needs occasional replacement is the rubber seal (€7.00), typically every 2-3 years depending on use. The durable BPA-free plastic is virtually indestructible - perfect for daily use, travel, and camping.
