Origin Story & Community Impact.
Tapiplaya sits at the heart of Bolivia’s celebrated Caranavi region, where mountains, unique loamy-clay soil, and indigenous Quechua culture shape every cherry. The pioneering Sol de la Mañana programme, led by the Rodriguez family, supports these smallholder producers with year-round agronomist visits, technical training, and guaranteed fair prices for their cherries. Farms average a modest 2–5 hectares, integrating coffee with fruit trees and native forest, ensuring biodiversity and generational skill.
Each evening in season, fresh-picked cherries travel to the Bella Vista mill for hand-sorting, careful washing, and slow patio drying. Final preparation at “The Moon” mill in La Paz ensures cup clarity and traceability from seed to export.

Farm-Focused Quality & Sustainability.
- Selective Handpicking: Only perfectly ripe cherries from tiny family plots
- Community-Led Delivery: Daily, direct to Bella Vista mill
- Washed Process & Slow Patio Drying: Extended fermentation and gradual sun drying protect full body and vibrant flavour
- Traceable Export: Milled, graded, and finished in La Paz for absolute cup clarity and farm traceability
