One mug, and the coffee to fill it.

A single contemporary stoneware mug, thrown on the wheel by John Ryan in Co. Sligo, with 250g of Sú Beatha roasted fresh weekly by Bailies in Belfast. John has been making this range for us since 2011 and it is not sold anywhere else.

The mug holds about 250ml, which is a full single cup, and the opening is sized to sit under an Aeropress, a Clever Dripper, a V60 or a Timemore Crystal Eye. You can pour straight from the brewer without splashing.

Choose the grind to suit the way you brew, and we will grind it to order.

It arrives boxed, in our grey gift box with an orange sleeve. Add a note at checkout and we will put it in.

Every piece is thrown by hand, so no two are quite the same. Dishwasher safe and microwave safe.

Pour straight from the brewer.

The opening was sized around an Aeropress, a Clever Dripper, a V60 and a Timemore Crystal Eye. That is the whole reason this mug exists.

The coffee.

Sú Beatha. Breath of life. A medium-bodied blend with dark chocolate through it, sweet enough to take black and steady enough to take milk.

Roasted fresh every week and ground to order, so tell us how you brew and we will set the grinder for it.

Made for us, and nowhere else.

In 2011 our founder Karl Purdy asked his brother-in-law, the potter John Ryan, for a mug that would sit under an Aeropress without splashing. John threw one. Fifteen years later he still throws every piece we sell, on the wheel, in his studio in Co. Sligo.

He fires to stoneware temperature and mixes his own food-safe glazes, which few potters still do. No two come out quite the same. That is the point.
