Chemex Buying Guide
The 3-cup (1-3 cups) is perfect for solo brewing or couples. The 6-cup (3-6 cups) is ideal for households or entertaining. Both brew 1 cup at minimum—the "cup" measurement refers to maximum capacity (1 cup = ~150ml).
Place a filter in the brewer (3-layer side facing the spout), rinse with hot water, add 30g medium-coarse ground coffee, bloom for 30 seconds, then pour 500ml water in slow circles over 3-4 minutes.
Yes. But be careful! Remove the wooden collar and leather tie before washing. The glass carafe is dishwasher-safe, or hand-wash with soap and warm water.
